In line with its mission to support the academic advancement of the University, the Ferdowsi University Supporters Foundation annually grants academic scholarships to outstanding candidates of the National University Entrance Examination who choose Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for their higher education, in accordance with the following regulations.

Regulations Governing the “Ferdowsi University Supporters Foundation Academic Scholarship”

One of the principal objectives of the Ferdowsi University Supporters Foundation is to contribute to the quantitative and qualitative enhancement of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as a distinguished university at the national and regional levels.

This objective is pursued through attracting the support of benevolent individuals and philanthropic institutions. Accordingly, the present regulations have been formulated with the aim of improving the educational quality of the University in academic disciplines designated by scholarship sponsors.

Under these regulations, academic scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who select Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as their place of study.

Article 1: The scholarship consists of financial support provided by one or more sponsors to eligible students for one complete undergraduate degree program in the academic disciplines specified by the scholarship sponsors at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

Article 2: Scholarship recipients shall be selected from among high-ranking candidates of the National University Entrance Examination who choose Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for the continuation of their studies.

Note 1: The conditions and requirements related to each field of study shall be determined in accordance with guidelines prepared by the Foundation.

Note 2: The academic disciplines eligible for scholarships, as well as the monthly scholarship amount, shall be determined annually by the Foundation at the beginning of each academic year and published on the University’s website and in the National Entrance Examination guidebook.

Article 3: The scholarship shall be granted for four academic years and shall be paid monthly for nine months of each academic year (from the beginning of Mehr/September until the end of Khordad/June), subject to certification by the University’s Office of Academic Affairs and provided that the student maintains active enrollment and satisfactory academic performance, as stipulated in Note 3 of Article 5.

Article 4: At the beginning of each academic year, the Ferdowsi University Supporters Foundation, in coordination with the University’s Office of Academic Affairs, shall identify students eligible for scholarships and send them a congratulatory letter together with the scholarship application form. Applicants are required to complete the form and submit it to the Foundation along with the required supporting documents.

Article 5: The Ferdowsi University Supporters Foundation shall proceed with the granting of scholarships at the earliest available opportunity.

Note 3: In the event of a decline in academic performance resulting in the student ranking below the top 10% of students in the same cohort, the scholarship shall be discontinued from the beginning of the following academic year.

Article 6: Any interruption in studies, including but not limited to extended travel, withdrawal from studies, or similar circumstances, shall result in the termination of the scholarship. Reinstatement of the scholarship shall require a renewed application and reassessment.

Article 7: The allocation of scholarships to eligible students shall be supervised by a committee composed of the Foundation’s Executive Director, a representative of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, the Dean or Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs of the relevant faculty, the Head or representative of the Foundation’s Scientific and Research Committee, and the financial sponsors of the scholarship or their representatives.

These regulations, consisting of seven articles and three notes, were approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors on 2013/11/12 and were implemented on a one-year trial basis from the date of approval.
