Providing student residences, as one of the university’s most important needs, has been among the Foundation’s first initiatives. Since its establishment, the Foundation has succeeded, with the support of generous benefactors, in providing seven student residences with a capacity of more than 2,200 beds.
Previously, female evening-program students and many married students were accommodated in unsuitable and expensive self-managed dormitories throughout the city of Mashhad. The late Engineer Seyed Javad Shahrestani Residence, with a capacity of 310 students, is the latest dormitory that the Foundation put into operation in 2024.
Over the years, eight dormitory complexes named Baqa, Pardis 5, Maryam, Nazeran, Andisheh, Foundation Dormitory Complex (Pardis 7), Dr. Mohammad Farhadi Residence (Mosalla-Nejad Cultural Foundation), and Shahrestani Residence have been established. Together, these dormitories have a total built area of 43,046 square meters and provide residential and welfare facilities for more than 2,136 students.
Dormitory Construction
The Ferdowsi University Foundation owns eight dormitory complexes named Baqa, Pardis 5, Maryam, Nazeran, Andisheh, Foundation Dormitory Complex (No. 6), Dr. Mohammad Farhadi Residence (Mosalla-Nejad Cultural Foundation), and Shahrestani Residence.
Baqa Dormitory
The late Hajj Ali Bagherzadeh (Baqa) donated the land for this dormitory, with an area of 1,000 square meters, to the Ferdowsi University Foundation. This student residence was constructed through his generosity and in cooperation with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad for married students.
This residence consists of five floors with a total built area of 3,440 square meters and includes 60 suites accommodating 60 student couples.

Pardis 5 Dormitory
This student residence was the first philanthropist-built dormitory within the university campus. It was constructed by the Foundation’s benefactors specifically for female evening-program students and became operational in 2007.
The residence has a total built area of 10,636 square meters and was designed as an apartment complex. Each unit contains one, two, or three rooms, with a total of 120 rooms accommodating 476 students.
Maryam Dormitory
Maryam Dormitory was donated to the Ferdowsi University Foundation by the respected benefactor Engineer Ali Mosharezadeh and his family.
Due to the construction of several new dormitories on campus and the sufficiency of their accommodation capacity, this dormitory was repurposed in 2024, with the agreement of Engineer Mosharezadeh’s family, into the Maryam Innovation and Technology Center to support students with innovative ideas.

Late Hajj Ahmad Nazeran Welfare, Cultural, and Student Complex
This complex was temporarily entrusted to the Ferdowsi University Foundation in 2013 by the family of the late Hajj Ahmad Nazeran.

Andisheh Residence Complex
This dormitory complex was temporarily donated to the Ferdowsi University Foundation in 2013 by Engineer Assadollah Abbaspour.

Foundation Dormitory Complex (Pardis 7 Residence)
This student residence was constructed on the university campus through the efforts of the Ferdowsi University Foundation and with the cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. It is dedicated to female evening-program students.
Dr. Mohammad Farhadi Dormitory (Mosalla-Nejad Cultural Foundation)
This student residence was constructed in 2016 on the Ferdowsi University campus through the financial support of the Dr. Mosalla-Nejad Cultural Foundation.
Late Engineer Seyed Javad Shahrestani Residence
This student residence was constructed on the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad campus in memory of the late Engineer Seyed Javad Shahrestani with the support of charitable benefactors.
